Post-Heat-Treat Grinding

Award-winning knifemaker RJ Martin will demonstrate techniques for grinding such premium stainless steels as CPM S90V, S110V and S125V and also MagnaCut after they have been heat treated. He will cover abrasive belt selection and sequence of use, grinding speeds, pressures, coolants and lubricants. He also will give tips on how to deal with heat, do’s and don’ts and more. As RJ noted, “The goal is to achieve a uniform finish with a reasonable effort.”
